Brandy McKeown, RVT
Brandy has been employed by the Medical Center for Birds since 2004. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician with a Associate of Sciences degree. Brandy currently is working with avian hematology and enjoys her time here immensely. She feels that there is always something new to learn here. |
Jennifer Borlek, RVT
Jennifer has been employed by the Medical Center for Birds since 2003. She is a Registered Veterinary Technician. Jennifer is happily married to Tommy and on her days off she enjoys playing with her own pets, which include her blue and gold macaw named Peter and lovebirds 'Stormy' and 'Maestro.' In addition to feathered friends, she has three adopted dogs, Li'l Mick, Iris, and Waldo, and nine cats. |
Elisabeth Szabo
Elizabeth has been employed with the Medical Center for Birds since 2003. She is our hematologist with a keen eye for bird blood and painstakingly analyzes all of our blood films. Elisabeth is Hungarian and has earned her education in hematology in Romania and Hungary. She worked for 15 years at a children's hospital in Romania and for 3 years at a sanatorium in Hungary. Elisabeth's background of 10 years is working in hormone-assay research and development. She enjoys hematology and also likes to dance, go to movies, and appreciates friends with a good sense of humor.
MELODY BEDFORD is the newest addition to our nursing team. She has been employed by the Medical Center for Birds since early 2008. Melody most recently graduated from Western Career College and will be sitting for the Registered Veterinary Technician State Boards later this year. We are all very happy to have her on our team.
BRANDON MODELO has been employed by the Medical Center for Birds since 2007. He maintains our kennel space, as well as other areas of our hospital. Brandon also assits our registered veterinary technicians. He does not hesitate to help in any way he can. Brandon enjoys sports, especially boxing, and is currently attending DVC.
NICHOLAS MESSER is our newest addition to the Medical Center for Birds team. He maintains our kennel space along with other areas of our hospital. Nick has a true love for animals and is currently attending LMC. He plans to become a Zoologist. |
