Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some questions/answers that we are frequently asked. If you have additional questions that aren't covered here, please feel free to give us a call at (925)625-1878.

1. What are the Hospital hours?

Our hospital is open Monday through Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm. The hospital is closed on Sunday.

2. Do I need to have an appointment?

Yes, patients are seen by appointment.

3. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept Cash, Debit, Discover, Mastercard and Visa (No Checks or American Express accepted). We also accept Care Credit. 

4. Can I make payments?

Payment is required at the time of service. We do not offer in-house payment schedules. 

5. Do you board birds?

Yes, we do board birds for our clients! We offer both regular boarding for healthy birds and medical boarding for birds that require a little extra care such as medications. In order to board at our facility, all birds must be current on laboratory work and physical exams. Call (925) 625-1878 for further information and requirements.

6. If I board my board, can I bring my own cage and/or toys, food, treats, etc?

You are more than welcome to bring any toys, food, or treats for your bird to utilize while they are boarding in our facility. We also provide toys, food, and treats. Please let us know if your bird has any dietary restrictions upon check in. We may allow owners to board their birds in their own cages but please check for space availability when you call in to schedule a boarding stay.

 7. Do you see other animals other than avian species?

Unfortunately, no, we do not service any other types of animals. 

8. Do you accept wildlife? 

Unfortunately, no, we are not permitted to accept wildlife in our facility. If you find a wild bird that needs care, we suggest checking out Wildcare in San Rafael or Lindsay Wildlife Museum in Walnut Creek, CA.

9. Do you do consultations over the phone?

At this time, we do not offer consultations over the phone. 

10. I have food allergies. Do you use any of the top 9 allergens within your clinic?

Yes, we very much do all types of nuts within our clinic as they are a primary treat for most avian species. All allergens may be present within our clinic at all times. Please let us know upon check in if you have any restrictions and need your exam room extra wiped down and/or nut treats removed from the room.
